Obvia is a geohumanist typeface designed for use across media. Obvia was inspired by direct observation of geometric typefaces, with plans to introduce width-based axes shortly to further increase usability. Obvia’s design concept was to differentiate itself from pure geometric forms – in this instance square shapes. Additional details, like subtle ink traps and concave endings of stems were added as well as expertly drawn alternate characters to give this font its geo humanist-tone.
There are nine weights from Thin to Black within its first family of Obvia to create a distinctive typographic design from paper to pixels.
