Zona Pro Font Family is an abstract sans serif typographic family composed of nine styles and their accompanying italics designed by Kostas Bartsokas and first released for public consumption in 2013/14. Inspired by 1920’s geometric styles with clean, legible forms, Zona combines heavier weights with slight variations in stroke width to give this font its signature grotesque aesthetic. Recently it was updated by adding Cyrillic character support, an additional weight and newly designed italics – making Zona an even greater font family! In 2019 refreshments were introduced by adding support for Cyrillic characters as well as weight additions & new designed italics! Zona Pro is designed for multiple functions and is highly adaptable, boasting a sleek modern design which excels with headlines and sizes.
Its extra tall x-height makes Zona Pro equally well suited to editorial work as well as text that may be smaller in size (magazines or newspapers).
