Museo Slab combines the robust structure and ease of Museo with semi-slab serifs to form a great pairing with Museo Sans. Museo… It all started when my love for the letter U came through as an image in a dream – its stems bent into semi-slab serifs for inspiration.
From this foundation, I designed the remaining uppercase letters. At first, my goal was to create an all-caps display type; however, after several months I changed my mind in favor of something more adaptable – hence why I switched over to lowercase and adjusted spacing and kerning accordingly for improved legibility.
Museo offers five weights of OpenType font family for ease of use with CE languages and Esperanto support. In addition to ligatures and contextual options such as stylistic alternatives fractions proportional/tabular figures; Museo features a “case feature” to accommodate forms which require case sensitivity.
