The movie Joker is a psychological thriller of DC Comics based characters. The movie has been directed by Todd Phillips and co-written with Scott Silver and stars Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker along with Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Marc Maron, Shea Whigham Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge and Brian Tyree Henry in other roles. The movie begins in 1981.
The story is about a standup comedian who becomes depressed, winds up in an institution, lives a rather chaotic life, and that is why Phoenix returned to direct and write in 2018. This is when principal shooting began and was conducted all across New York City, Jersey City and Newark.
