Chevrolet, an automobile company, owes its name to one of the most versatile Swiss driver Louis Chevrolet who was born in France as a child moved to Morse and then later immigrated to Canada with Arthur, Gaston and their families. He then migrated to the United States of America. While working in New York, he was allowed to repair digging attached to William Walter company’s cars and trucks before involving himself in different factories in New Jersey.
William Durant, the founder of General Motors observed that Louis Chevrolet was one of the most talented racer, he hired and Chevrolet became the driver of General Motors. After leaving Buick, Louis Chevrolet came up with William Durant to produce a car inspired by French automobiles known as Chevrolet and it began selling in US markets in early 1911 as an eight-cylinder car.
