American Captain Font

Let’s go back over the description again. To describe my typeface, American Captain, my dull portion of mind suggests using words such as bold and narrow sharp yet rough heavy and tall; however, my creative part tells me otherwise – there is a spark of inspiration telling me this font deserves much more consideration than that.

Why waste my time explaining something I can observe myself? Perhaps what you don’t understand is where this font got its distinctive character from; perhaps not realizing that it has existed since at least the 1940s; perhaps not realizing how this font was revived and updated by sign painters, hand letterers, as well as enthusiasts such as myself who are determined not to let this font fade away.

This font captures the unmatched force of an exceptional man who freed all mankind from oppressive regimes around the globe. He was one of America’s greatest Patriots with uncontested stature, and this font captures his unwavering determination – something Captain America himself reveres and respects greatly; something which font designers, including myself, strive hard to represent through their designs.
