Under Armour is an American sportswear brand established in Baltimore, Maryland. They sell regular athletic wear as well as footwear since 2006 when their first shoes became available for purchase. Based in Baltimore and Europe based offices can be found at Amsterdam Olympic Stadium as well as additional offices located in Denver Colorado Hong Kong Guangzhou China Jakarta Indonesia and Toronto Canada Under Armour was founded in 1996 by Kevin Planck, then 23-year-old captain of the University of Maryland football team.
Working from his grandmother’s unfinished basement in Washington DC, Kevin would travel throughout all of East Coast selling clothes out of the trunk of his car.
