Gumpita Rahayu created its initial design at an early stage. First released as all-caps display fonts in 2013, Mohave was later expanded to four weights including italics. By 2018, four additional italic weights had been introduced that perfectly match its counterpart weights – also available with large point size! Mohave was released as an all-caps display typeface designed with smooth high-quality glyphs and dynamic dynamic ones for use with large points – in four weights for optimal use with large points.
Letterforms are nearly monolinear with minor corrections made to joints and strokes so as to maintain an obvious structure within the typeface. Additionally, there have been smaller changes made to joints and strokes for maximum readability of this new version which features new body shapes with more neutral and modified forms, variants both lowercase and uppercase with OpenType Pro support, as well as various variants in both positions of text.
