Pestifero, is a modern humanist serif typeface created with nostalgia in post-pandemic society in mind. Its aesthetics bridge different periods in history which were plagued by similar issues; for example, 1576’s book Informatione of the Pestifero Et Contagioso Morbo first introduced this idea; its forms are heavily influenced by Renaissance masterworks like Michelangelo.
But Pestifero should not be taken as a historic record but as contemporary tribute to classic typography created with modern eyes!
