Otama carefully strikes for the elegance with its delightfully light-weight and bright UltraBold versions, giving this font a deserved place among the new modern fonts such as Didot and Bodoni. Still, Otama could have easily fall under this category or at least “borrow” its visuals; however, its creators tried to reference Transitional Garalde typefaces of the 20th-century and calligraphic studies as much as possible.
He used many of the characteristic of Pyes Pa when developing Otama especially in developing its’ shoelaced k and shoelaced e,a,k. This font was developed for more than two years with more than 8 000 characters in 28 styles to finish its development and it should be in every designer’s font library.
