Inbox is a display face designed by Herb Lubalin to simulate the appearance of the ITC Avant Garde that was created in 1970. Inbox is based on the traditional geometric sans design approach, it is a contemporary typeface suitable for logotypes, headlines and any kind of textual content. Each font in this family has attractive ligatures and stylish variations, and the monolinear construction that characterizes Inbox, like Inbox’s “O” with a dot inside its bowl. The letters A and W are formed with triangles, while all other letters are relatively small.
Furthermore, the many coupling designs of inbox includes where one letter is on top of another or encased within it. Some other glyphs lean to the left or to the left side only, and some of the glyphs have letters of smaller sizes that are shifted downwards or upwards. Inbox was created by German designer Alisa Nowak and was released for use through Indian Type Foundry in 2016.
